Daylighting Analysis
The tables are designed for PINACOTECA CAFÉ when the Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura Annex reopened.
There are full height mirrors around the café in all directions that arrow people who visit the café to enjoy the sculptures at outside of the cafe. Reflection of the natural light that comes through the windows makes the atmosphere at the café differently by time, whether and each seasons.
We combined t28mm frames and window frames together and put on top of the glass top plates. Enjoy the dancing light and ever-changing reflections radiating from our custom-designed tables.
神奈川県立美術館 鎌倉館別館のリニューアル・オープンに伴い増設されたカフェ（PINACOTECA CAFE）のためのテーブルデザイン。
増設されたカフェスペースには、屋外彫刻を鑑賞しながら過ごせるように北面・南面・東面の3面にフルハイトの窓が設けられている。
そこから入射する自然光は、天気／時間／季節の変化や、ブラインドの絞り具合によって多様なムードをつくるだろうと想像できるし、シミュレーションからも様々なパタンの光環境が確認できる。
人はなにかを鑑賞する時、対象を取り囲む光環境によって少なからず影響を受けると思うが、大量に入射される自然光への感度を上げることで、鑑賞時に新たな気づきを生むきっかけにならないかと考えた。
t28mm角のフレームはサッシと合わせて白に塗装、その上にガラス天板を浮かせるように設置、ダイクロイックミラーの透過と反射によって様々な光に対して知覚が拡張されるようなテーブルを制作した。
